ChannelNet Delivers Enhanced Dealer Websites to 357 Hunter Douglas Dealers Across Canada
DEARBORN. December 12, 2017 — Interior decorators and consumers across Canada are now able to visit their local Hunter Douglas showrooms virtually from the convenience of their own living rooms to source the latest trends in upscale, custom window treatments, schedule consultations and in-store appointments. This is thanks to the successful launch of customized websites for each of the 357 Hunter Douglas dealers located in communities across Canada.
The new mobile-enabled platform was developed by ChannelNet, a leader in digital sales and marketing solutions, which has partnered with Hunter Douglas, the leading manufacturer and marketer of custom window fashions in North America, for 15 years. The new platform, which provides consumers with a wealth of information about window fashion, is designed to generate leads for in-home consultations, increase store visits and enhance engagement via mobile devices and social networks.
“Just like our Hunter Douglas Dealer Alliance website program in the United States, our platform provides an optimized experience regardless of the user’s device. The Canadian dealer sites reinforce the dealer as an industry expert who provides professional guidance and helps the consumer make the right purchase decision,” says Paula Tompkins, CEO and Founder, ChannelNet. “The website is the first impression and the new front door to your business in today’s digital world. It is critical to make them user-friendly, accessible and compatible across all devices.”
“With over 65 percent of home improvement shoppers using their smart phones to compare prices and features, the new platform enables Hunter Douglas dealers to effectively serve the growing ranks of online shoppers,” added Tompkins.
Since the launch of the new platform overall visits to the Hunter Douglas dealers’ websites in Canada have increased by 28 percent and the average time visitors spend on the platform has nearly doubled. In addition to the user-friendly functionality for consumers, the new platform provides dealers with a host of marketing benefits. “We can now dynamically change content on our websites, create targeted online marketing campaigns and integrate data seamlessly with our other systems,” said Marlene Carriss, owner of Carriss Window Fashions a Hunter-Douglas dealer in Victoria, BC. “The website is easy to use, and our customers love the ready access to collections, showrooms and store information online.”
Hunter Douglas dealers also have help-desk support in English and French from ChannelNet, as well as access to automated analytics reporting. The launch of the new platform in Canada, follows its successful adoption by 2,300 Hunter Douglas dealers in the U.S. in the past year.
